2021 GIANTS TRAINING CAMP MEDIA INFORMATION
Daily Arrival at Quest Diagnostics Training Center
All media members attending practice MUST be fully vaccinated. “Fully Vaccinated” means 14 days past an individual’s last dose of the applicable vaccine (first dose for Johnson & Johnson or second dose for Pfizer and Moderna). Areas at practice will be marked for social distancing purposes.
Media personnel will be assigned Tier 2M or Tier 3-Outdoor Access (“Tier 3-OA”) credentials. Media personnel in Tier 2M MUST be fully vaccinated and test according to the league protocols. The Giants communications staff will assist with arranging testing at the Club testing site for Tier 2M personnel.
The number of Tier 2M individuals permitted access to the Club facility is at the discretion of the Club, up to the daily maximum of 25 people.
In-person interviews conducted by Tier 2M individuals with players and coaches will be arranged to maintain physical distance.
Media personnel with Tier 3-OA credentials may not enter the Club facility at any time and may not conduct in-person interviews.
All Rookies Wednesday, July 21st
All QB’s, 1st Year Players Thursday, July 22nd
All Other Veteran Players Tuesday, July 27th
Media will be provided with a parking pass via e-mail and will be directed to park in LOT I adjacent to the Quest Diagnostics Training Center grounds. Please see map below for directions to LOT I.
When practice is being held on fields 1 or 2 (closest to the office building), the media will observe and shoot from the patio. When field 3 is the primary field for practice, media can watch from the designated parking lot area. Due to COVID-19 protocols, all media members must always be at least twenty feet from the practice field.
Practice Access and Reporting Policy
In your coverage of daily practice sessions, we ask for your cooperation in observing the following policies:
- Videotaping and photographing will be limited to the stretching and individual portion of practice.
- Do not report on offensive, defensive or special teams strategy. This includes describing formations, personnel groups, deployment of personnel, starting lineups, players working in first-team, second-team or third-team, or non-conventional plays.
- Do not quote, paraphrase or report the comments made by coaches or players during a practice session.
- No reporting during the open portion of practice. This includes social media updates (i.e. tweeting), blogging, radio updates or phone interviews.
- Media are prohibited from interacting with players and coaches during practice.
- Media are asked to silence cell phones before entering the practice area and during all press conferences.
- Please direct any interview requests to the Giants Communications staff.
- The Giants reserve the right to change their access policy without prior notice.
Most media interviews with club personnel, including players, coaches and front office staff, will be held in person and socially distanced. When in person availability isn’t possible, the Giants will conduct availability virtually.
Assistant Coaches have scheduled availability; check with the Giants Communications staff for the schedule. All interview requests for other members of the Giants organization should be made through the Giants Communications Department.
Media interested in individual interviews must arrange in advance through Giants Communications. We will do our best to accommodate.
Live shots are allowed in designated areas at the Quest Diagnostics Training Center. Giants Communications must be notified in advance of any TV live shots.
The press workroom in the Quest Diagnostics Training Center is equipped with hardwired and wireless high-speed internet access. In addition to the press workroom inside the Quest Diagnostics Training Center, the Giants have provided a climate-controlled media trailer for auxiliary media space. The trailer is equipped with wireless high-speed internet access.
Food service will not be provided. Giants PR will provide light refreshments in the media workroom and water during practice.
Season-Long Credential Requests Due
All season-long credential requests for Giants home games should be submitted through the Giants online credentialing system. Editors and Sports Directors can access the system and apply for season credentials by visiting the Giants credential website at giants.com/mediacreds. You may have already received an email with your username and instructions on creating a password — if not, please contact Delaney McNulty (Delaney.McNulty@Giants.NFL.net). Be prepared to upload photos of the media members for whom you are submitting credential requests. If approved for a season-long credential, the media member will also be approved for a Training Camp Credential. For questions regarding credentials, please e-mail Delaney McNulty.
Training Camp Credentials
All media (except media approved for season-long credentials) should contact Delaney McNulty (Delaney.McNulty@Giants.NFL.net) if you’re looking to attend a training camp practice. Credentials will be picked up at media check-in outside the Quest Diagnostics Training Center. Credentials will grant media access to the media workroom and field patio. The media credential must be worn in clear view at all times while on the Quest Diagnostics Training Center grounds. NO MEDIA WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE TRAINING CENTER GROUNDS WITHOUT PROPER CREDENTIALS. For questions regarding credentials, please e-mail Delaney McNulty.
